Exterior View
The back of the house really embodied what the design of the house was all about: blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor. The whole bottom level opened up via floor to ceiling oversized glass pocketing sliders expanding the living area of the house, visually and practically.
Master Bedroom
This room was also designed with retractible custom glass sliders that opened for an unobstructed 7.5 feet. The view, overlooking the pool and the detached garage with office above has integrated ceiling speakers with Smart Home Technology. All these features really made this space an airy, calm retreat.
Guest Bathroom
The combination of (heated) polished poured concrete floor, cararra marble shower walls and teak wall detail elevates the design of this small bathroom.
Detail of teak wood wall detail, under cabinet lights and wall-mounted faucet.
Master Bath
The master bath was clad with floor to ceiling cararra marble, heated floors, floating marble slab shower floor and integrated ceiling speakers. A full length pull-out next to open shelves for towels, nearly doubled storage, allowing for a clutter-free space.
Kitchen
The kitchen was designed to be streamlined, highly functional and easily accessed from inside and out. The island is clad in seamless stainless steal, and also creates the casual dining table. One side of the island is the wine and beer cooler, which is placed so it's extra accessible to the outdoor pool area.
Fashion and Interior Design Converge
These images were shot at the house for a look book for the women's fashion line Strong & Dickerson.
I love how the floating staircase is highlighted in this shot, behind the photographer.
This house is a little bit hard to photograph and capture being in the space: experiencing the amazing double height living space and the feeling of the house extending indefinitely. This shot, sort of gives you an idea of actually being in the space.
This image was shot on the deck, outside the office above the garage.
Also the office deck. The wood cladding is clear-heart redwood, the deck flooring is slate.
